I'm hoping someone will be able to help me solve a frustrating problem!!?? I have a ford 9n with a bucket on it. Whenever I'm moving dirt or snow for a while, it spits and sputters then dies. It only does this when the tractors' under load and I've used it for about 45 to 60 minutes. It also won't start for at least 24 hours. The previous owner has converted it to 12 volts already. If someone could give me some advice to solve this problem, I would greatly appreciate it..... I'm fed up with it stalling in the middle of the driveway!!!!! Thanks. CDL

take the carb off and get some good carb cleaner, I like cyclo and hose it out really good. I had this trouble with a IH 140 and it runs great now.

Sounds like the coil is going bad. Replace the coil and your problem will probaby go away
