I ran into a guy with a cute little case 310 D. He said he was backblading with it one day and It quit moving. When he pulled a steering clutch the opposite track would drive. When he pulls the left clutch the right side drives, the Left side drives when you pull the right. What could cause this? I bought some cat crawlers from him so I thought I would try to help him figure out what was wrong with his Case..

The 310 I had did not have steering clutches, only a brake on each side. I have seen them with something free (eg. pinion, spline,or coupler) on one side and you had to hold the brake on the opposite side to get it to move at all. But I have never seen one do that on both sides.
