Have a 60 ser 9511 with a broken front pedistal shaft. The previous owner got a replacement shaft, but it is to long(3in), the steering geear hits the top of pedistal housing(p/n A4410R). The p/n on the new roll-a-matic housing is A3470R. These are the only p/n I have, the shaft has no p/n. Can someone help me determine how long the new shaft needs to be ? To add to the problem, a salvage shop pulled a shaft out of a 60 pedistal(A4410R), it measures the same as the one I have. What am I not understanding ?

You can take it all out & put in a 2 piece unit that has P.S. With a 2 piece you could put on a wide front.
Other wise go to JD & bring your serial no, Find out what no, to what number fits, than take that to the salvage yard & tell them it has to come from a tractor between the no.s
