I HAVE A 1945 H FARMALL. I HAVE A REBUILT CARB. THE PIN KEEPS SLIDING OUT OF THE FLOAT CAUSING CARB. TO OVER-FLOW. WHAT CAN I DO TO TO SECURE THE PIN SO IT DOES NOT SLIDE OUT?

I of my H's did the same thing .With side cutters I put a small dimple or crimp on the pin on both ends. Ken B

Obviously whomever rebuilt it did not do a thorough job. It should not be your problem.

i had same problems with a few of mine too. pin would slide out, float would stick and drip gas like crazy. if you look at the carb where the pin slides thru, one end is split, the other side is not. squeeze the split side closed a little with pliers to hold the pin in better

Hm.... c clip, e clip.. mushroom it. stake it in.. add a small amount of loctite sleave retainer.. hmm..

My carb needle pins seem to seat nicly with no slop.

( ms carbs and zenith carns anyway.. )
