I was trying to remove a camshaft gear from a cockshutt 30, I removed the clip and then put the puller on it and then the gear just busted into a bunch of pieces, so now there is not to grab a hold of, I really dont know what to do, Could I apply heat or any help would be so much appreciated..thank you

Oh Boy: It has been 35 years since I worked on a Cockshutt with a Buda!. Do you have the replacement gear? You may need to drop the pan, push the lifters up, remove the oil pump and pull the cam. Not that bad of a job. Maybe I can look in a book tomorrow evening. J.

Thank you, but I finally got it off, I drilled 3 1/4 inch holes right at the edge of shaft, tapped them and then used a harmonic puller with alot of heat, but it worked..thanks again
