I'VE GOT A J SERIES D2 STUCK IN 2ND GEAR, I HAVE PULLED THE TOP PLATE OFF AND SPRAYED EVERY KIND OF LUBRICANT ON IT, PRYED ON IT WITH A BAR. IT WONT BUDGE. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS

I think WR is on the right track. Check the shifter interlock.

Check that the gearshift lock is releasing.

did you try to turne some gears with the master cluch desangaged.

I was just tickled to see a post about a D-2. Mine is 5U5179, not sure what year that is. Bad thing is that I dont have a clue on how to help you. I do have a parts book and a service book and owners manual if you need any copies.
