It sounds, Karen Ann, as if either your clutch is wore out and/or the real seal in the engine is leaking oil into the clutch housing, wetting it and causing it to slip. You should have it looked after ASAP. Repairing either or both requires "splitting the tractor"and you would be wise to repair both while it is apart.

Karen, 140 is too high viscosty for that transmission, perhaps they meant 85-140? Some people use that. Factory oil was 90, 80-90 is suitable also. Fill at the dipstick plug opening. Full is the mark on the dipstick about 1" from the end.

Yes that is the place for gear oil. Hyd oil is checked under the steering wheel on the right side on top. Their should be a square head plug with a dipstick on it. The oil should be uhtf in it.

Thank you so for the response,
but at the end of your response
you wrote about the hydrolic oil fill,
the oil should be "uhtf" what does that mean?
Also if you know about Case 210b
my tractor after aobut 30 minutes of use,
in 1st gear, or also 2nd ( the 2 gears i use
most) it gets very slow, to move, after I take
my foot off the clutch, and as i use it more,
it seems to get slower and slower, and barely
moves at all. so i shut her off for the day.
Is my old 'Casey" just getting old?
thank you so.
