If all else fails put some classic COKE in each cylender that will take rust out in 12 hr or less
CAUTION I only use this on engines I am tearing down don"t know what the syrup will do to the bearings
Yes the Coke soft drink!

you didn't give much info. are you sure the engine is locked up or is the starter in a bind?

If it sat that long then blow that diesel out of the cylinders with air then fill them with tranny fluid. Let it sit a week or so then use the starter and a good stron battery, with the injectors out do short fast hit with the starter. If its going to pop loose it will then but if it doesn't you will probably have to open it up. I get old tractors all the time that are locked up and use tranny fluid all the time to get one loose and so far I'm 10-1 only one didn't pop loose for me and it took my 12 ton press to get one piston out of the sleeve that did pop loose

dave...so you're sayin' that tractor hasn't turned over in 10 years? sounds t'me like you're gonna be pullin the head and the oil pan off and soakin' it in some penetrating oil or like old said...turpentine. you could try rocking it in gear but after 10 years it might be siezed up pretty tight and you could cause more damage. i'm still suggesting that you go down and talk to some of the guys on the ferguson forum. there's a ton of experience there on the old fergies. that's where i get all my advice for my to-20 and to-35. good luck.

dave...try posting on the harry ferguson forum. give a good description of what you were doing when the engine siezed up, and all info like if there was oil in it, under a load, sitting for a long time, etc.? lots of guys there that can help you out.

First off why is it locked up?? Did you run it low on oil or some thing else like bad seals in the injector pump getting diesel in the oil?? Also diesel fuel doesn't work well to unlock a locked up engine. My self I use either tranny fluid or turpentine, not paint thinner but true gum spirtis of turpentine.
