Some water got in through a hole in the muffler of 403 IH Combine thus seizing the engine. I first put WB40 / Diesel down the spark plug holes and pryed on the flywheel without success. We removed the head and such now but have not had any success using Mooves It! Any tips would be greatly appreiciated. Thanks Andy

Hunt down some "KROIL" from KANO LABRATORIES. This penetrant is the best I have found in 50 years of wrenching. Clean the cylinder walls of rust and debries, wet the line where the piston meets the cylinder for a couple of days, no need to actualy flood it. After a couple of days, use a wood hammer handle to GENTLY tap on the piston top at sides of the engine, NOT in the center over the wrist pin. Alternatly tap one side then the other. The piston normally has some running clearance in the bore and this will allow the piston to rock slieghtly in the cylinder. With the KROIL desolving the rust and the GENTLE rocking the rust and corrosion will slowly crush and release the piston. Alternate the piston taping with gently rotating the crankshaft back and forth should free up all but the worst cases. If you get too gung-ho you can break the piston skirt or ring lands. Good luck.

Well since you have the head off. Clean out all the cylinders real good with a rag and or air. Then put about an inch or so of tranny fluid on them and cover the engine so not water or dirt gets in. Walk away from it for 3 day or more. Then put a battery in it and use short fast hits of the starter. If its going to brake free is should doing that. The starter will put out more torque then you will ever be able to put out useing a bar. If that doesn't wrok pour a table spoon of gas in the tranny fluid and light it up and let it burn till it goes out, then try the starter again. If that doesn't work then you will have to open it up the rest of the way. I just pulled in a JD 1010 that has the same problem today and been working on it, but it looks like I'll have to open it up all the way because of how heavy the rust is in 1 cylinder

WD40 is not what it used to be, and diesel fuel doesn't loosen rusted parts. Try ATF, or pure vinegar.

Andy,I have work on engines most of my life . I have encountered that problem a few times .Q, how many cylenders have rust . If you have two or less use plemty penetrating oil let it sit over night . Next day i clean all the oil , heat the pistons with a propane torch .you will see some oil come out from the ring area, it will have rust with it ,put a little bit of gasoline let sit a couple of minutes . Wipe the exses and blow air in the piston gap,USE EYE PROTECTION. Use more penetrating oil with a little gasoline ,let it sit a couple hours then try prying . if it did not work repeate the proses.
