I have posted on the Oliver board also, but I guess this question is more appropriate on this board.
I have an Oliver 77 with side curtains. The side curtains are in need of a new paint job. Before painting, I would like to remove the dents in some of the louvers. Is there a trick to doing this? On a fairly flat surface, I can lay it on a hard object and pound out the dents, but on louvers, I can't find anything to place on the other side. The metal is too thin to just pound on the dent - the rest of the metal will bend also. What is the trick on louvers?
Thanx.
Warren

I have never done that but will have to in the futre. What I had thought about doing was making a wedge or somehing that was aboutthe right size andshape of the louver then drivng it in from the back side while laying it on the front.
