I replaced plugs and wires on tractor with 12v system. the reason was loss of power under load. The wires were arcing also. After replacing each wire I started tractor,it started just fine ran about 1 min or less and cut off. It will not start back. When i touch the coil it is hot. Could it have went bad, or what else could it be. I changed each wire 1 at a time, I also put old wires back on but still did not start. I had no issue with starting before this. Any ideas or answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Stephen36

First thing to do is pull the center wire off the cap. Hold it about 1/4 inch from the block and turn the kety on and turn the engine over> Do you have spark?? If not check the points and see if there good. If they are I'd try another coil
