My husband and I had a 1975 wheelhorse given to us. We have it running (sweet) but had to bypass the safety switch in the seat.
Are problem right now is it will not move. Foward-nope
Backwards-nope
We have turned that screw (the one that lets you roll it) but still cannot get it to move.
any suggestions or web sites i can go to get some repair tips?

Pat;
I've read your post several times. Do you have any additional information i.e. does it start and run in neutral? What model is it? Did you disconnect the switch because it stalls when in reverse with the mower deck engaged? Does it roll freely if pushed?

Jake

hi, yes, it does start and run neutral. the clutch is engaging to the pump. the pump is blowing oil (we took the fitting out to check, put it back) so is working. it just will not engage when in gear.
the spring and the hydrolic line were moved to the back line (done before we got it)
i will check on the model # and get back to you
my husband just told me we did not disconnect the safety switch on the seat. it was gone when given to us, we replaced it.
When we turn the screw it will roll freely. when screw is turned back, no.
it is an automatic if that helps.

Right now we do not have the mover deck or any other attachment on it. We are trying to get it running and moving before we attempt those.

the model # is c160 auto. We have checked everything in the manual but still cannot get to move.
it sat for 5 or 6 years before we started to work on it.
