I bought this truck not running. I now have it running with a gas container strapped to the fender.I plan to replace all fuel lines. I removed the gas tank. I should be able to unclogg the rust from where the fuel line goes. I poured out about 3 cups of rust from the tank. Should this tank be used anymore? If so how do I clean it and prevent it from rusting more? Also the cork on the sending unit doesn"t float anymore. Where do I find corks like that?

Joe,
As for the cork. Find a tank gauge for a home heating oil tank. The older floats were cork. I found just the right cork at a do it youself wine store. Just sanded it down to size. Two years later it's still floating..... ....
