I last Sun. I became the proud possessor of a 1925 Model T touring. Today I finished lots of TLC maintenance, including new safety glass. For the near term the only priority is the installation of Turns stop and tail lights. I have all the fixtures, but cannot seem to find a 6 volt turn flasher.

With all the experience out there with you guys, I thought some one might be able to direct me.

No I don't want to convert to 12V as the car came with a new 6V alternator. Another story.

I will not take the car on the road with out good lights and good glass. Grand daughters are worth to much.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you gentlemen. You sure know allot more about this than I. I tried NAPA, Auto Zone, Advance, O'Rielly, and even J C Whitney. Not a single 6v flasher to be found. Finally my son in law found a part time one man operation. B&B Custom Circuits,
77 County Route 519, Newton, New Jersey 07860

He had exactly what I needed. Perhaps this will help someone else. Thank you again.

Have you tried using a "heavy duty" 12 volt flasher? All a flasher is, is a circuit breaker made to trip at a certain amperage - regardless if 6 volts or 12 volts. They are usually fitted to match the exact load the lights draw on a specific vehicle - so - if one goes out - the flasher stops tripping. A HD flasher is supposed to be designed to trip at at even rate regardless of amperage - but I can't say I've tried one on any 6 volt light circuits.
Seems even a standard 12 volt flasher would work - but since a 6 volt light draws more amps than its 12 volt equivalent - the 12 volt standard flasher would probably blink too fast.

Nap../ get a flasher for a VW bug ( 6v)

I have used 6v hazard flashers for a vw n my 6v tractors.. etc.

if you can't find 6v r/l turn signals.. simply use 2 6v hazard vw flashers.. and do the wiring.. etc.. though you can do it with 1, depending ont he turn signal switch setup.. pretty easy mod..

Any good parts store should be able to get you one BTDT just in the last few weeks on my sons motorcycle. He now has working signals on it and I just had the auto parts store order me one
