I have an THREADLESS transmission drain hole and haven't been able to find a proper plug for it. Any Help???

There is also a small shaft protruding from the transmission housing with something looking like a cotter-pin....any idea what this is for??

Any help will be appreciated.

If the threadless hole you are talking about is the one with the cotter key.. then old gave you the answer.. if you message really refers to the big 2" bung drain that has had threads stripped.. please be more clear. We don't charge by the word.. the more info you post. the better the answers you get.

Thanks for the reply....the threads are not stripped, there is no room for threads...the hole is larger than the standard drain plug for an 8N...it is, however, the transmission drain.

Post a pic if you can.

Does it look like someone damaged the area?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'no room' for threads?

The cotter pin is just that. Its was fords way for keeping a bell houseing drain from clogging up. What happens is the main seal and tranny seals some times leak and that cotter pin lets that oil drain is it doesn't mess up the clutch disk
