I tried pulling the plugs and filling the cylinders with Kano Sili Kroil for about a year and a half and wouldn't budge. So I pulled the cylinder head and found #2 cylinder very badly rusted up inside. The #1 piston was stuck as well but since that piston was at the end of the exhaust stoke it wasn't rusted up as much(#3 pistons just fell out of the block) . I then pulled the block (with two stuck pistons inside) off the crankcase and sent them to a machine to have them press the pistons out and perhaps bore & sleeve the engine. Well they have had the block about a year now. They have soaked it and claimed they were getting a new press. Guess they tried to push the badly stuck one out with the new press, but claimed they couldn't get it to budge and was going to try heating the block and add some more penetrating oil to the stuck pistons as the block cools. Well I know I have to be patient, but I am about to suggest they just bust up the piston and and try to find a replacement piston.I bought 2 used pistons on ebay that are from a slightly newer model engine 283A (not the 283 KFC), the differance being the tractor engine pistons pins are locked in place with a setscrew, while the 283A ebay pistons have full floating piston pins, and I'm not sure if I can use one or two these newer pistons with the older ones.
