Hi Guys
I have a stuck V8 Perkins, water in the cylinders and piston rusted in place. I have tried soaking them in WD 40 but still completely stuck . I cannot see any easy way of getting at the underside of the pistons to knock them free + I guess I am going to be fighting against the other 7. I was thinking about welding up a frame, fixing to the engine block with the head bolts and placing a steel plate over the piston head and using a small hydrolic jack to force down one of the pistons. What do you think? I have other pistons and sleeves I can put in once the motor is free.
Thanks for your thoughts.
Bill
