As JMS says check and clean all battery connections. Your problem can also be the push buttom switch on the starter also. Common for them to get dirty/burned and not work as they should

Before getting a new starter, check lyour cable connections, and remove the starter, clean up rust or paint where it mounts in the tractor, that is the ground path. Have the starter checked at a repair shop.
