I have been looking for over a year for the main big gear in the round gear box for a contantial belly mower. The big gear is striped clean and there are no more replacement parts. Any ideas or help is dearly needed.

Someone must have let the bottom seal go out and oil leak out. We had one of those KA-5 mowers for years but sold it with tractor because parts & blades were getting harder to find and slow from current company that bought them out. Don't think they make that mower anymore just bush hogs, finish mowers, sprayers, & fire trucks now. Doesn't look like they even make the spray pumps anymore. fireami@vvm.com Ag-Meier Industries 800-446-7319, Belton Texas.

I found the link to Continental Belton. It's now known as Ag-Meier. They are in Texas. Here it is:

The successor to the company is still in business in Texas. I don't have the address but if you don't have it you probably can google it and find it. Maybe you already tried there. Only other suggestion is maybe find one for parts on eBay. I had one I sold a couple of years ago and when I called the company in Texas, they routed me to an old fellow who worked there when they made those mowers and he was helpful. Maybe he's still there?
