2 part question

1 it runs great for 1/2 hour then will only run with full choke?

2 It takes a 1/2 hour or better before the hydraulics will work what is the lightest weight oil i can use for the winter

reply to first question, i have a 1936 allis wc
and had some problems with it quiting after running for a short time, it ended up to be the
gas cap vent holes were plugged, good luck jerry

Well problem #1 check you gas flow out both the drain plug and the main jet. You need to get a good flow out both for 5 plus minutes. Most C carbs have a non adjustable main jet and they do cause problems like that some times. Thats why I say check flow at both places and some time doing that will clear up your problem. #2 you can use Hy-tran or a trans-drolic type fluid which is a lot thinner to speed things up in cold weather

Those carbs are very simple but hard to get all the passages as clean as they need to be. Kit will cost around $20 give or take a little depending on where you buy it
