pulled a JD D(styled) into another tractor(Ford 7000)and pushed in the grill of the D about 2in. in a groove about third way up.Didn't seem serious but now there is a steady coolant drip from somewhere high up right onto the right(as you are seated in tractor)spark plug causeng it to miss fire!Ican't see the source and the radiator seems o.k.I wonder what damage I have done?Coolant level is ok and it only drips while running.

Stop-leak only works well if the cooling system is pressurized. D were built into the 50's. Is this one pressurized?

You may have cracked some thing or put a pin hole in it some place. As JMS says try some stop leak. The most it can do is work the least it can do is waste $3-5 so its probably worth the gamble

Hey old- first of all..... .Merry Christmas!!! I never heard of the pepper thing before I heard about this board. Did try it a month ago on the Ford 4500 TLB..... ..it worked!. My middle son, the diesel mechanic, soldered the major spitting leak, but, as usual, you know how you can follow the weeping leak all around the tank, and where you quit,---it still weeps. Just like the owner who doesn"t want to tear it apart! Hopefully it will stay tight next spring when the ground thaws and we need to dig some tile lines and kill some rock that want to break machine parts. Hope you had a good Christmas.

Try tossing in a tablespoon of black pepper, or some Stopleak.
