The original subject was "wood for restoring a wagon".

Was just browsing and found your question. You've probably done something by now, but just thought I'd pass along something that happened to me when I was a kid. Dads wide-bed wagon needed a new floor and he went to town and bought some tounge-and-groove pine flooring for it. Turned the job over to me and said go to it. Well, some of it was curved and I modified an old chain boomer to pull it straight as I installed it. When I got through, there wasn't a crack big enough to lay a straitht pin in. I was really proud of that wagon bed until the first rain came and swelled the wood...it popped up teepee shaped in about three places. Moral of the story is don't snug it together too tight and put some waterproofing on it!

Haven't done anything yet (honeydo list keeps growing), but thanks for the advice. I#ll do both.
