Green tractor owner working my JD 3010 in tight confines. Got front wheels in a bind and heard loud pop. No immediate apparent damage. Power steering continued working. Happened a few more times. No leaks prior but now pretty fast drip of fluid coming from what I think is the steering spindle and operating pistons over front axel. Power steering still working at this time but seems like the popping happens more frequently when Im not even close to getting it in a bind. What did I do to it? How hard (expensive) to fix myself? Whats most likely broken part?

If its a wide front end, I would suspect a bad tie rod end or a binding spindle. Could be it blew one of the piston o-rings from something binding up. Jack the tractor up and systematically take the steering apart until you identify where the bind is. Narrow front end---Remove the pedestal and drop the steering shaft out and check the bearings.
