Need help with the hyd lift on a 5211 Zetor. It lifts fine but drifts back down fairly quickly and then raises back up on its own. Pulsates up and down as long as you have a load on the lift.

Does it leak down when the tractor is shutdown?
If so it is likely the rubber packings in the
internal cylinder are bad. There are 2 U-cup seals
on the piston that would need replacement.

I think it does leak down when it is shut down. I will check to make sure. Thanks for the help.

Another thing to check is the lift handle. There
is a friction brake which holds the handle in
place and it gets loose sometimes. It can be
tightened at the rear of the tractor. Vibration
causes it to loosen and lets the hitch leak down.

Could the relief valve cause the lowering of the lift?

The relief valve or line being loose sure could
cause the problem. All should be checked before
taking any corrective service. The MOST likely
problem remains the u-cup seals.

You were correct. The rubber seals on the lift piston are now in very small pieces. Now to find new ones. I have a few places to try. Thanks again for your help.
