Hi-
I am in need of experienced advice and have recieved it here before. I have been given a Honda motorcycle that has sat for 10+ years. I am removing the carb, but am at an impasse. I have a stuck/frozen throttle valve with a sleeve type operation that has the needle valve sticking out of the bottom. I have soaked it with Marvel Mystery for the last few days and it is not loosening up.
Can I use heat without warping the throttle body. I heard these are of "white metal" whatever that is, and I am concerned it is inferior and will not take heat well.
I know it is not a tractor, but I can't find a cycle board that is this helpful.
I am hoping this link works to give a picture.
Thanks

Drop the carb in a pan of tranny fluid and heat the fluid up, don't get it to hot as to make it smoke but get it up to around 150-200 degrees. Let it cool down and sit a few hours and see it it then will move. Theres another trick but it has been way to long ago for me to remember off hand but if I do I'll post it
