I need some experts to help. I have an N to restore. Have a kid in the local FFA doing it as his senior project. Need to discuss what I have with someone that has a few minutes to talk about it. Not sure how to identify what I have and what I need. Also not sure how to determine if this is a unit that has parts of several models.

Serial number is stamped into the left side of the block. Just below the head. Then use that and look on the left side of this page under research and info then serial numbers then ford etc to find your year and what you have. 9N where made from 1939-1942 and 2N from 1942-1947. Also is it a 3 speed or a 4 speed. If its a 4 speed its an 8N. If you want more info my phone number is on the web site
