Hi All,

In disassembling my 1941 9N"s Marvel-Schebler TSX33 Carb, the head of the main jet broke into pieces when I tried to remove it. What"s left is the threaded portion of the jet deep in the carb under where the main discharge nozzle sits. Has anyone had this happen and have you had any success in removing it with an EZOut or other method?

I"m going to try to find an EZOut tomorrow small enough to remove the jet, but assuming this doesn"t work, I"m thinking I may need to purchase a new carb.

If I do need to get a new carb, does anyone have an opinion on whether I should replace it with another Marvel or with the Zenith carburetor, which claims it out performs the original.

Taking it to a machine shop may be cheaper that a new carb if you don't get it out on your own.
