I'm reassembling a Massey-Ferguson TO-35 after putting in a new clutch. I just placed the gas tank back in and went to fill and gas is leaking out of what seems to be a seam in the rear of the tank. Had no problems with tank prior to taking it apart. Is that a seam in the tank that appears to have a layer of cork in it? Is there an easy fix?

There are a couple of products for repairing pin hole leaks in gas tanks. Sure less expensive than replacement of the tank. Check with some of the suppliers on this site. Probably been needed by enough of us tractor cranks that it should be listed in their product lines.

I answered my own question; there were at least a dozen pin-holes in the gas tank right at the rear flange. Found them after I took the tank out. Hope this helps someone.
