I purchased a massey ferguson 65 diesel and it seems to run very good. It has a couple of leaks but I can live with that. When I first start the tractor, oil pressure is about 50 psi. Within 15 minutes its down to about 25psi. Is the oil pump hard to change? Can you get to it through the oil pan? Info would be greatly apreciated

Has the oil been changed recently if so what weight oil and has the filter been changed? Do you hear any knocks when started cold or after warms to operating temp? Double check pressure gauge accuracy. The bearings would be the first thing I would suspect as wearing.

Pressure is dropping because the oil temp has risen- thinning the oil. Problem might be a worn pump, but I think a more likely reason is worn bearings- crank and connecting rods. AGCO dealer may have spec measurements for checking out internal pump wear.
