We have patched the gas tank on a 1925 fordson three times with JB Weld. Cleaned the area as the directions said, made the patch very wide to cover hole. Is there a better way to patch a leak? Any help would be great. Thanks you in advance

Do a web search for "POR15" They have a very good product line for this sort of trouble. I used it to patch and then to line the tank on my Earthmaster, and it was very good. Gene Davis

You can purchase special kits that repair fuel tanks. These have adhesives that are compatible with gasoline. I have had exellent sucess with the type that is two parts epoxy putty you kneed with your hand and spread on.

Check with your local motorcycle shop, they have the kits on hand. It might take two to do a large tank, but they work quite well. I re-did a tank in BAD shape for an old hit and miss motor, and it did the trick and has been holding up well for 5 years now...
