I have a Restored TED 20 and would like to replace the old chrome collor and bolt for the steering wheel, this involves removing the steerng wheel and i was wondering that if the bolt is removed should the steering wheel come off or is there a technic for taking it off. I would be very gratefull for any help.

There are steering wheel pullers made for that purpose. If you intend to repaint the spokes you can use a heavy plastic hammer, a dead blow hammer, or a ball peen hammer. Hit the spokes near the center from below, I prefer the puller.
