Cansomeone explain to me the different componets[what's inside]of the cylinder. I have a very slight bend in the chrome part near the end when it is fully retracted, causing it to to stick somewhat. Can they be straightened? Can you have just the chrome part replaced? What about seals?, etc.

Depends on what the replacment cost of a new cylinder would as to whether or not it would economically sound to spend a lot of money on trying to repair the existing cylinder.

The ram can be straightened in a press after removal from the cylinder tube. The unit can then be rebuilt with new seals and rings BUT why did the ram bend in the first place? If that problem is not fixed first then you are looking at a bent ram again in a little while.

Depending on your press...I have straightened the shaft right in the cylinder(when shaft is bent on outer end.....block your set up with oak wood blocks.Try to push ,equal distances on each side of the bend..sounds like yours is slight, or it would be leaking...It's going to take a big press..... go slow and easy
