I've purchased a Cockshutt 550 redbelly that will be shown as original. It's in the best condition I've ever seen. Using 3M Pertect-It on the sheet metal, however, don't know what is best to reclaim the dark red that has turned to pink in some areas. Can't use pressure cleaning because original decals may become removed.Plan to carefully scrape off the old baked-on grease first. Any suggestions?? Thanks, in advance.

I use Go-Jo hand cleaner when trying to be careful with original finish and not the stuff with pumice, old paint brush and a window cleaner sprinzer bottle of water , then compressed air for the nooks and crannys, good luck with your old iron
