Whats the easiest way to widen the front tube axle on the cubs?? If you heat her with a torch do I have to worry about it cracking like my lower radiator unit did?? My axle at this time is at the shortest position. I would like to take it out at least one notch wide.

Thanks

I would loosen bolts and soak with good penatrating oil and use the tractor that way for a few days, this usually loosens them up so they can be moved with less effort.I would use heat as a last resort only.

Remove the adjusting bolts and clamps or blow them off with your torch..... ....I think the tubes are slotted.....use a large brass drift pin and try to widen the slots.....very very, little soak ,with WD-40.....this might take a few days.....If you get new bolts ,get grade 5.....

if your axle is made out of an old radiator.
