After buying a piece of land, I began researching tractors and ended up getting a '49 Ford 8N. It works, but only when she feels like it. What problems are you having? Great place for Ford owners to post is the Ford or 8N board, but basic starting, running problems can be posted anywhere-

After starting the tractor, it will sometimes stall when I put it in gear. If it goes into gear, it will often stall when I engage the IPO (I have a Woods, under-belly grooming mower on it). After the tratcor stalls, It will not start back up. I have to wait a day or more before it starts back up. If I start it and let it warm up, sometimes that helps. I really want to learn to fix it myself, but don't know where to
