I removed the tanks from a 37 JD-A radiator, and bead blasted them, the insides have rust pits, not all the way through, what would be a good sealer to use on these that antifreeze wouldn't eat up? Or is it even nessary? thanks for any info.

Keep pepper, flour and all other additive junk out of your radiator. You will pay in the long run with overheating, plugging, and other problems. Take the tank to a radiator shop and let them evaluate it and fix it accordingly.

The other day I called a radiator shop and explained that my radiator on the tractor that I was restoring had a very small leak at the bottom of the tank where the tubes connect. I mentioned that the radiator tank was very clean inside so thought that previous owner may have had it repaired and cleaned. The guy at the shop told me to put some pepper in the radiator. Has anyone heard of this one before??

Pepper and flour works better because the gluten hardens in contact with air and is more permanent.
