8N resurrection

My father in law gave me an 8N tractor last week. It has been sitting outdoors for several years. With the exception of an electrical problem it was running fine when parked. I believe the problem was a 6 volt coil on a 12 volt conversion system.

I bought new plugs/wires/coil etc for it this morning and will get to work on it later this week. I know that I'll need to change the oil, clean the carb etc, but do I need to do anything else before I actually try to crank it?

Thanks!

Don't know where you live but if it's been cold and with temperatures below freezing, there's always a good possibility that there is water in the bottom of the tranny/rear end housing which will of course freeze up and the whole unit will not move too well. If it has been cold, better check that out.
