Does anyone have a reference for a company in the USA (prefer Texas if possible) that does instrument gauge restorations?? I have a '63 Fordson Super Major that I need the instrument faces restored, the temperature gauge repaired (capillary tube) and the voltmeter/ammeter converted for use with a 12v (-) ground alternator. Not much to ask huh? :)

Thanks in advance, and Merry Christmas!

Mark

I restored an antique car. There is a company in California that does great work. If you are interested I can get their name and phone number for you. Hemmings is a great sources for this type of service. Look under services offered--instrument repair.

Geta copy of Hemmings Motor News .Lots of advertisers doing this type of repair-might not be cheap though.

Don't know about Fordson, but you can buy new aftermarket gauges for Farmall, JD, etc, that are virtually the same as OEM. Voltmeter/ammeter doesn't care how many volts or amps it gets, unless your voltmeter goes off scale with 12 V.
