Hi, if anyone would have any tips or information on restoring a tractor, I would appreciate it. I'm restoring a 1949 Cockshutt 30 right now and it's my first time restoring a tractor. Thanks in advance

first ya gotta learn to cuss... get some bandages then cut a tree down and cut off a piece of it about 2 ft high and a foot or so across. so you will have a place to sit and hold your head and say WHY ME ?? WHY ALWAYS ME

There are good website forums to ask questions. I've asked a few "dumb" ones myself, so don't be bashful!. There's a wealth of information in the brains of the people who frequent these forums.

Might also check out a couple of "starter" books:

How to restore your farm tractor, ISBN: 0879385936

How to rebuild and restore farm tractor engines, ISBN: 0760306613

Both are available from Amazon.com. The computer will give you other suggestions, also.

Check around your county. There may be a collector's/restorer's club that would have some first hand talent to give you some help/advice.

Good luck and enjoy.

There is an Oliver, Cockshutt, etc forum on this site, where you can find answers to almost anything -- try that.
