The easiest way to check for air in fuel system is to get a hunk of clear plastic tubing from (?), plumb it in the return line from the injection pump to the tank, start 'er up and when she starts to die, check your line. If you are getting air, you should not have to wait to see it till it stalls, it may build up and then cause a stalling problem. The other problem you may have is that the plungers and barrels might be worn to the point that they won't pressurize fuel after it becomes warm and the viscosity goes down. The fix for this is new plungers and barrels in the pump, and can be expensive. A couple things that may or may not help. Lastly, check your fuel cap vent. If your tank can't breathe,it may draw a vaccuum on the tank and quite simply run out of fuel. Good luck.
