I bought some Olvier Green at Agco, it's an enamel. What kind of primer should one use?

I use Nason{Dupont brand} gray primer/surfacer. fast buildup, sands well, good adhesion. If there is any chance of rust left I use an etching primer first.
This may be over kill for some, but I figure my time
is worth a few extra dollars now to have a lasting quality job.

Thanks for the info. I had the wheels sandblasted and I filled in the pits and resanded. I think I'll take you up on the etching primer first then I'll look into the Nasan. I never have done any painting before, so I will take it slow and steady and get it right.....I hope.

Do you have an autobody paint supplier around? If so stop in when they aren't busy, usually end of the day, otherwise they are going to take care of their "big" users and not spend any time with you.
A few questions and you will find out a lot. Of course there are other brands of supplies,I just happen to have a good Dupont supplier in my area.
To fill holes, level etc, see if you can find MetalGlaze made by Evercoat. Best filler I have ever used.
