IF any of you have ever taken your radiator off and found that the rubber grommets are toast before removing or installing the radiator, here is a great fix/

With some tin-snips, cut some squares out of an old rad. hose big enough to cover the old round grommet hole. [about 1.5"x1.5"]. Drill 1/4" holes, bored well, into two pieces of squares one on top of the other. You will also need one 2" X 1/4" bolt, two metal washers, lock-nut and nut/grommet hole to be fixed - the washers need to be big enough to cover the original grommet hole.

Then put on one washer and one sq of rubber on the bolt, then put the bolt through the old grommet hole, then the other cut square the second washer, then the screw the bold into the approriate hold to secure the radiator, then your lock nut and nut.

Tighten her up to squeeze the rubber to the radiator support and let the wrench do the rest. This will allow your radiator to be real secure and have the proper shock absorbtion intended by the original grommets.

Good luck, tom
