After reading the post below about the radiator gromets, I realized that this was the actual reason that Kim (the webmaster of the YT site) started up this section. It was actually to share your own ideas, innovations, and restoration tricks that others could use. I don't visit that often here because it seems that most of the posts are questions that usually appear on all of the other discussion sites here at YT. Not that there is anything wrong with the questions (or the answers that show up). It's just that it seemed to end up being just another section for questions and answers. Maybe I've interpreted the reason for it wrongly and if I have then maybe I'm a bit out-of-line in mentioning it.

Answering a question IS sharing ideas, innovations, and restoration tricks. The post below is an answer to a question that has been asked many times.

I think you might have misread my reference to the post on the radiator tip. Actually I WAS saying that particular post was the type that I thought should be on this particular forum. It was the question and answer type of posts that I thought maybe might just as easily be served by one of the other forums. I agree with what you are saying about answers being a sharing of ideas but considering the number of other forums already here, I thought it just might have been more of the same thing. I was just asking, not really criticizing.

I know what you are saying. There are far more people asking questions than offering information. However, it seems to all get covered. Most people use their knowledge to answer questions, rather than offer information, but that way they know what is wanted. I suppose that's what books are for (offering information). This forum, and the Paint forum, get far less traffic than the tractor forums, but these two are still useful. I sometimes refer people asking specific questions about a particular tractor to the appropriate tractor forum. Most of those people are probably newcomers unfamiliar with the site. Actually, I like the questions, as many are the same questions I have.
