I have rebuilt the manual steering column on a 1965 Ford 3000 Tractor. I have replaced the bearings and races and seals. When I turn the steering wheel I only get 2 full rotations from lock to lock. It seems to be working properly but I thought only 2 rotations was not enough. I want to make sure before I go to the trouble of installing it. I can't find an answer in my shop manual.

mark the end of the rocker shafts and see if they are moving enought. This will help if you can't find specs.

I attached 2 vice grips one on the end of each shaft and then turn the wheel. It seemed to move enough but I just wanted to be sure. I did'nt think to check it before I took it apart. Thanks for the reply.
