I have recently purchased a new idea manure spreader. I believe it is either model numbers 17, 18, or 18 from the years 1953 to 1959, or model numbers 201, 206, 207 from years 1960 to 1966. Is there any way to identify this spreader, the model number is either rusted off or missing. I'd like to see a picture of this spreader. I'd also like to find out if this is a good spreader. The back wheels are missing, are these wheels interchangeable? Does anyone know where i could find a parts manual for this spreader. It is currenly stuck in mud with no rear wheels, any ideas on how to get it out? It's in the marshall wisconsin area. A picture how this spreader looks would be a great place start. Thanks.

I have a New Idea #18 spreader. I bought it from 2 gentlemen in my area that restore New Idea spreaders. They have parts and would sell them, but only restore spreaders to sell. His name is Harold Porter, I could get his number if you might be intrested. Also let me know and I could send you a picture of mine. Thanks Linda

I think that New Idea used to have a factory in Coldwater Ohio. I don't know if it still exists or not.
