I dont want to sound stupid....but...does anyone know which cup the oil goes into, the inner cup or the outer cup? and also what type of oil i should be using in said cup? and how much? this is all new to me so any help you people could pass on would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Doesn't matter, just fill it to the line. It will run out or into the holes near the top of the inner cup. Most people use SAE 30. You might want a lighter weight in the winter if you use your tractor a lot. Be sure to get an operators manual, has all maintenance info in it.
