I have a 1954 TO-30 which I would like to convert to a 12 volt system without the expense of a kit. Does anyone have information or diagrams showing the necessary parts and wiring changes. Thanks.

Mat, In the left hand column under "Research & Info" heading "Articles" third section down "Maintenance & Mechanical Info" you'll find several articles on conversion to 12 volt electrical systems. Although none specfically address the the Ferguson tractor you should be able to follow one of the Ford conversions. All of the info shold cross over directly. Several are step by step, complete with wire size, terminals, starter, coil and resistor info. You may want to search archives on the Ferguson board for futher info and possibly a reference to a wiring diagram. Wiring diagrams are availble on the 9N,2N,8N and Ford archives.

Post back if you need more info or additional help.
