What are the chances of warping the sheetmetal on an Oliver 70 by sandblasting it and if it will warp it how do you go about getting sheetmetal that is pitted badly ready for paint. Thanks

Dave...its not to hard to warp your sheet metal if your not careful...its best if you keep the blasting nozzel moving and atleast a foot or two away depending on the size of your blaster and compressor.....if you have a small one 100lb sand pot or smaller you should not have any problems just keep it moving as needed.....to fill metal blemishs (pits) when your finished blasting and primeing use a body putty it comes in a tube, use a spreader to apply a thin coat let it dry then re sand.....
if you have any more questions I can help you with post back...
Have a nice day....

I blasted my tractor tinwork with Northern tools blaster with 1/8 nozzle and about 75 psi pressure and it did ok. I never felt there was any risk of warping anything.
