I have a J.D. 110 lawn tractor that I am restoring. It still has all the original tires on it and would like to leave them on. Anyone know of a way to get rid of the weather-checking marks on them?? Or at least make it less visible. I would just like to renew them somehow. Any help appreciated. Justin.

I have a rubber tire repair putty kit from Miller Tire for auction, on this site, under Parts. It might be what your looking for. Check it out. Email me a week form now. If it doesn't go on the auction I will sell it to you cheaper.

I want to try some tire paint on my restored tractors. They say it covers up some of the weather checking and makes the tires look good. I have seen it on www.millertire.com It isn't very expensive either. Lucas

Hate to disagree with you but I went the Armorall route many times with many vehicles for tires, dash, etc. I ended up referring to it as "heroin" because in my opinion, once you start using it then you've gotta keep it up. My personal experience with it is that it makes tires brown and crusty and actually dries out vinyl upholstery and dashboards, etc. I guess a guy might use it on some old tires but I wouldn't touch the stuff for anything new with a ten foot pole. I would almost guess that all the knock-offs of the same product are much the same. Just my two cents worth, maybe you've had better results.
