My rear tire rims have a lot of pitting on them from Calcium Chloride being used. Should there be a liner installed between the tube and the rim to protect the tube? Thanks.

Al, use NO liners, they just cause problems. First get rid of the rust (sandblast if possible) then prime and paint to stop any further rust. Make sure paint is DRY and CURED before remounting the tires and tubes. Don't forget to use talc (baby powder) to keep the tube from sticking to the new paint. Good luck! Jim T
